Due to the nature of the material and productions, innovating in the field of stainless steel processing is no easy task. Despite this, Eure Inox is constantly committed to the research and development of new solutions, starting from the requests and issues of its customers. A commitment carried out thanks to important partnerships, such as the one with the Polytechnic of Milan. Attention to innovation is also highlighted by the set of last generation tools used in the laboratory for tests and trials on raw materials and finished products.

The Eure Inox laboratory is equipped with innovative high-precision tools for mechanical, chemical and physical tests on stainless steel. From raw material to finished products, inspections put in place by the company are aimed at measuring and monitoring parameters and characteristics of various kinds, which contribute to improving the quality of the product.

INSTRON Model 3382

100kN (22,000 lbf) universal servo-electric machine for the measurement of mechanical behaviour with digital detection of the applied force and of the deformation of the specimen with video extensometer. Strength at break, yield strength and elongation at break are detected through digital data acquisition and processing with Instron Bluehill 2 management software and are automatically transferred on the certification which includes the test chart.

TALYROND 131C (Taylor Hobson)

This is a high precision roundness tester for the inspection of produced material shape errors such as roundness, concentricity, eccentricity, flatness, coaxiality and cylindricity. Through the μltra Roundness measurement and analysis software it allows to achieve the highest quality standards as it detects roundness errors below 0.5 microns.

LEICA Z16 APO metallographic microscope

Instrument for the analysis of the steel’s metallurgical structure, after adequate preparation through polishing and dedicated chemical attack, which the laboratory owns. Quantitative or comparative grain size measurement is also possible. It uses an ultra-high resolution digital camera and Leica report measurement and analysis software.

SPECTROMAX X quantometer

Instrument for the qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis of the steel’s chemical composition through the inspection of the optical emission spectrum emitted by the material, stimulated by spark. Through this instrument, we can detect the presence of more than 20 chemical elements, including carbon.

KOERZIMAT 1.097 (Foerster) permeameter

The device is able to fully detect hysteresis and permeability values ​​in just 3 minutes. This equipment represents a real company excellence as only one other similar tool is present in Italy and less than ten devices of the kind are currently in operation in the world. The device is designed exclusively for Hc + J (H) PC-supported applications, representing coercive field intensity and hysteresis measurements. It is designed for the measurement of two physical properties of ferromagnetic materials, namely HcJ and μr, which define the coercivity and magnetic permeability of the magnetic flux. In addition, the components of the device comprise the Hc measurement module, the configured 40 mm coil and the KOERZIMAT V 6 X HcJ PC software.
